The Labrador named Storm travelled from Hoppers Crossing to Flinders Street Station in Melbourne, a half hour journey.
The canine fare evader was captured by Metro Train's CCTV footage casually jumping on the 8.20am train at Hoppers Crossing station.
The footage shows a train driver guiding Storm off the train and into the hands of another employee on arrival at Flinders Street. He was then transported to the Lost Dog's Home in North Melbourne.
"In paws-itive news, we were able to reunite Storm with his owners, who were visiting all the way from Sydney!," a Metro Trains Facebook post confirmed.
The Metro Trains team took him on a tour and a walk along Southbank.
He will likely dodge the $288 penalty for fare evading.
